Lake Hévíz is Europe’s largest healing hot water lake. Water contains calcium, magnesium, hydrogen carbonate, sulfur and mild radon. Its temperature is the result of mixing hot and cold spring water from the ground. In summer, the water temperature is 33-35 ° C, while in the winter it is about 24-26 ° C. Typically, the same temperature in every corner of the lake prevails because the 1.5-2 meter high layer of water prevents the cooling of the water, the multidirectional flow of water and the enormous deforestation ensures the uniformity of the temperature. Thanks to its water discharge, the lake’s water is completely replaced in three and a half days, so it is always clean.
